Welcome to Farmstead Singles. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Farmstead Singles ("we," "us," "the Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using our farmer dating site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. 1. Eligibility and Account Registration

1.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Farmstead Singles. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement.

1.2 One Account Per Person

Each individual may maintain only one active account. Creating duplicate or multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in immediate suspension of all associated accounts.

1.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete information during registration and to update your profile as necessary. Misrepresenting your identity, location, occupation, or any material fact about yourself violates these Terms and undermines the trust our farming community depends on.

2. Community Standards and User Conduct

Farmstead Singles is a community-first platform built on the values of honesty, respect, and authenticity. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment or intimidation - threatening, bullying, or sending unwanted messages after a user has asked you to stop.
• Fake or misleading profiles - using someone else's photos, fabricating your farming background, or impersonating another person.
• Commercial solicitation - promoting products, services, or external websites through profiles or messages without authorization.
• Hate speech or discrimination - targeting users based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
• Scamming or financial exploitation - requesting money, gifts, or financial information from other members under any pretense.
• Illegal activity - using the Platform to facilitate any activity that violates local, state, or federal law.

Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination at our sole discretion.

3. Content Moderation and Profile Review

Farmstead Singles employs a multi-layered approach to content moderation to maintain the quality and safety of our community:

• Profile review - uploaded photos and profile text are reviewed before publication to filter inappropriate content and obvious fake accounts.
• Community reporting - members can report suspicious profiles or messages directly through the Platform. Reports are reviewed within 48 hours.
• Automated detection - we use automated systems to flag patterns associated with scam activity, spam, and policy violations.

We reserve the right to remove, edit, or restrict any content that violates these Terms without prior notice. If your content is removed, you may contact our support team to request a review of the decision.

4. No Background Checks - Your Safety Is Shared

Farmers are frequent targets for online scammers due to their land, livestock, and equipment assets. While we actively moderate our community and remove suspicious accounts, your personal safety remains a shared responsibility. We strongly recommend that you:

• Conduct a video call before meeting any match in person.
• Meet for the first time in a public location - a local diner, coffee shop, or county fair.
• Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when you expect to return.
• Never send money, financial information, or gifts to someone you have not met.

5. Payments, Refunds, and Cancellation

5.1 Free and Premium Services

Creating a profile, browsing the Activity Feed, and sending waves are free. Premium features - including unlimited messaging and advanced search filters - require a paid subscription.

5.2 Auto-Renewal

All premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be charged using the payment method on file at the current subscription rate.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your premium subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - you will retain access to premium features until then.

5.4 Refund Policy

Refunds are not automatically granted for change of mind. Refunds may be issued at our discretion in the following cases:

• Duplicate charges or billing errors.
• Technical issues that prevented access to paid features for a significant portion of the billing period.
• Charges that occurred after a valid cancellation request was submitted.

To request a refund, contact our support team within 14 days of the charge in question. Please retain receipts or screenshots of payments.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, logos, trademarks, and other materials on Farmstead Singles are the property of Farmstead Singles or its licensors and are protected under United States copyright and intellectual property laws.

By posting content (photos, text, or other materials) on the Platform, you grant Farmstead Singles a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform. You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time.

You may not scrape, copy, reproduce, or redistribute any portion of the Platform's content, design, or user data without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

Farmstead Singles is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's reliability, accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farmstead Singles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform - including but not limited to loss of data, emotional distress, or damages resulting from interactions with other members.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Farmstead Singles in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.

We are not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, internet disruptions, or government actions.

8. Account Termination

8.1 User-Initiated Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile, messages, and associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements as described in our Privacy Policy.

8.2 Platform-Initiated Suspension or Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to the safety of our community. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the reason for termination, except where doing so would compromise the safety of other users or an ongoing investigation.

8.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Any unused portion of a paid subscription will not be refunded unless the termination resulted from a Platform error or billing issue.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Polk County, Iowa.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
